About

Damien is an Australian Tenor, Actor & Dancer who studied Acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (Australia), then Opera and Musical theatre at the Australian National University School of Music & Penn State University (USA).

For the past ten years he has worked as a singer, actor & dancer throughout the world, including the West End. Damien represented Australia in the World Championships of Performing winning Overall World Champion & Gold Medals in all of his categories.

 

He has completed Young Artist Programs with Pacific Opera & the Opera Studio Melbourne. Damien has been supported by Roadshow Entertainment, ARS Musica Australis, the Gertrude Johnson Memorial Foundation & most recently the NSW & Victorian Wagner Societies.

Since moving to the UK three years ago Damien has performed in numerous operas and musicals.


Operatic roles include: Alfred - Die Fledermaus (Wilton's Music Hall), Alfredo Germont - La Traviata (Dutchy Opera, Minack Theatre Cornwall & Shhh Productions), Amnon & Servant - Ruth (Pegasus Opera), Sir Philip Wingrave - Owen Wingrave (British Youth Opera), Astrophel/Damoetas,/Percy/Ensemble - The Arcadians (Opera Della Luna), Mozart - Mozart & Saleri (Time Zone Theatre), Pepicek - Brundibar (Opera Promethues), Tamino - Die Zauberflöte, Nika Magadoff - The Consul, (Gertrude Opera)


Musical Theatre roles include: Cooper - Island Song (Polyphony Productions), Jeremy Birtwistle & Mr. Bennet - Masters of Mystery (Marlowe Theatre), Georg - Spring Awakening (Kore Productions), Giuseppe Zangara - Assassins (Penny Presents), Beast/Prince - Beauty & the Beast, Pharaoh - Joseph, Ebenezer Scrooge - A Christmas Carol, Ubaldo Piangi - Phantom of the Opera, Sir Evelyn - Anything Goes (LMTO)
